The star has given the full amount of his £25k honor prize money to the trust for venues, which works to preserve the UK's small music venues.
The star was awarded the award on 16 October as his latest record his work was declared the outstanding release of the previous year.
The musician has opted to donate the funds to the MVT, in appreciation of the essential function small stages had in his early career.
"I would not have achieved my current career if it weren't for all the shows I did around the area, and further afield, when I was just getting going," remarked the artist. "These locations are renowned, but they are facing challenges."
From early 2023 onward, more than 150 of these locations have shut down – about 16% of the entire UK sector.
Over the past year, major artists like Pulp, the group Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the MVT in its attempts to keep the scene afloat, by applying a small levy to their ticket prices, which benefits independent venues.
Sam Fender also joined in, raising more than £100,000 on his recent tour to help thirty-eight small stages across Britain.
These funds helped locations that were facing potential shutdown due to issues caused by water damage, blazes and family tragedies, as well as regulatory hurdles, legal disputes and noise complaints.
Other venues were granted funding support in modernizing amenities and technical equipment that positively impacted performers and concertgoers.
"The notion that money from performances in major spaces helps the independent spots, where it all starts for performers like me, is just common sense," the star has stated.
The musician is among several artists to donate his honor prize money to charitable organizations.
In Pulp received the award in the year 1996 for their album the album, vocalist the singer announced that the group would contribute their cash to the non-profit War Child.
In 2002, artist the artist shared her award among several organizations, including the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell charity.
"Additionally, I donated a thousand pounds to my local community centre, to their gymnastics class, because I did gymnastics when I was growing up and they required better apparatus," Ms Dynamite told a publication.
Previously, the band contributed their funds to the community center that nurtured their band, alongside other independent music bodies.
And 1994 winners M People donated their award to a MS organization after a friend was identified with the illness.
"The victory was sufficient," remarked vocalist the singer. "The cash was the extra but we could do without the cherry, because we had the main prize. So our victory impacted another person's life."
In the past week, the Music Venues Trust announced it had rescued several grassroots venues in south-east England, by bringing them into community ownership.
The first in the city and The Croft in the city were acquired under the public acquisition scheme, which is supported by the arts council and supporters who buy "ownership units" in the buildings.
